Is it possible to have an EE administrator who does not have the WP manage_options capability?

If I’ve not provided sufficient detail, please let me know. I’m using the latest version of EE4.

Thanks

Yes it is. Here’s how.

Step 1: Install the user role editor plugin.
Step 2: Then you go to edit the user role you want to grant EE capabilities to. (Users > User Editor Role > Select Role and change its capabilities).
Step 3: You type ee_ in the Quick filter input, click Select All, then click Update and confirm.

I am an idiot as I had already done this, and forgotten. Thank you for your response.

That was a very timely question as I was just looking for this option! Thanks.

I have a further question: is it also possible to restrict editing and deleting events and other items just to the person that has created the event (so this person can see but not change the events of others)?

Or is that meant with the permissions labeled with “others”?

Yes I think you are right. This spreadsheet provides some explanations:

Unchecking the permission containing ‘others’ seems to work indeed.
