Hi,
My intention here is if Admin would like to register any user from backend into an event so admin can override the ticket price at the time of checkout.

So i would like to know is there such functionality/setting, hook or addon with which i can achieve this.

Looking forward of your reply.
Thanks

Hi there,

By overriding the price, what exactly do you mean?

The admin cannot change the ticket price for specific registrations, however, the admin can set the Registration status to ‘Approved’ for any registration they wish.

Approved registrations apply to the sold values of the event regardless of the transaction’s status so it depends what you are trying to do with the above.

Hi Tony
what i am trying to do is if Admin is registering a new user in an event now At the 3rd Step of Payment option Admin can change total price as random discount to that particular user.
But this discount would be random depends on admin.

Hope now this make sense to you.

Hmm, ok.

No, there’s no way to do it from the front end but you could add a payment labeled as ‘Admin discount’ from within the admin and then the user can pay the remaining value from the front end.

I can provide more details, but would that work for you?

First, you’ll need to set up a payment method that you can use to show the payment as ‘Admin discount’.

Go to Event Espresso -> Payment methods.

Activate a payment method that you don’t normally use and change the name and admin description to ‘Admin Discount’, here is an example using the Cheque payment method – http://take.ms/mZe63

Also make sure ‘Front-end Registration Page’ is disabled on that payment method so only admins can see it.

Now rather than admins adding registrations through the front end, they can add them from the admin.

Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over the event} -> Registrations – http://take.ms/CsTeO

At the top of the page is a ‘Add new registration’ button, click that and add the registration. If you don’t want emails to send yet make sure ‘Send Related Messages?’ is disabled when you add the registration.

You’ll end up at this page – http://take.ms/qnntc

Add a payment using the button shown, set the amount to the amount you want to discount from the total and apply it – http://take.ms/Dafe4

(Make sure you set the payment and registration messages/status to what you need it to be)

If you send the user a payment reminder or pending payment email now, when they use the link in the email to pay they can pay the remaining value.
