My customer said in EE3 when she manually added a registration in the backend, she could change the price right there and add notes to why she was discounting the price. In EE4 that is not there. How can you easily change the price for specific people when registering them manually in the backend?
With EE4 you can’t edit the price in the same way you did with EE3.
To do that you would need to create the new ticket with the correct price and then either re-register the user onto the correct ticket within the admin, or we also have a beta add-on called the Attendee Mover Add-on:
That add-on allows you to move a registration from one ticket to another.
(The beta add-on is currently available for testing but has not been officially released)
That is an extra step and a pain. She may discount it differently for different people. This has to do with manually adding someone, not re-registering or moving them.
If you add another ticket that ticket also shows on the front end.
Why were things from EE3 that people were used to not brought over to EE4?
EE4 is completely different system to EE3 and some features aren’t available because it does not work the same way.
You can’t edit the price within a registration in the same was because of the registrationships between that (and other registrations) to the ticket. If you edit the ticket price you will edit the price for all of the registrations assigned to the ticket as they are all related to a single ticket.
Currently the only way to change the price of a registration is to re-create the registration onto the correct ticket, or use the attendee mover to switch the registration to the ticket.
