I have an event that has two tickets and a few add on events. I would like to be able to have the add on events on the main ticket registration using the Price Modifier add on. The problem I am having is that my client would like to allow a registrant to purchase multiple add on tickets. For instance, a registrant can buy 10 dinner tickets. I don’t want to have to make 50 radio buttons – are you aware of a quantity selector option? If not I can make a ticket for the add-on events, but I would need to be able to sell an add-on ticket without requiring a registration. Is that possible? We only want registration information for the main 2 tickets, not for the add-on events. So if somone buys a main ticket then wants 50 dinner tickets, then they only need to register once.

Also want to add to my topic: I could use the Price Modification plugin, but only if there was a way to display the options as a dropdown instead of a radio button or checkbox. That seems doable to me from what I understand, but do you know if this can be done?

Hi there,

For instance, a registrant can buy 10 dinner tickets. I don’t want to have to make 50 radio buttons – are you aware of a quantity selector option?

If the pricing question option doesn’t show an option for qty then it won’t currently be possible within the add-on. We didn’t write the pricing add-on and have minimal experience using it as we don’t provide support for add-ons we didn’t write/release.

Are you comfortable with PHP?

We have an example of adding add-on items using a snippet here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/ee-code-snippet-library/blob/master/checkout/bc_ee_add_product_surcharge.php

That allows for qty’s but its intended as a base to work from rather than fully working solution.

If not I can make a ticket for the add-on events, but I would need to be able to sell an add-on ticket without requiring a registration. Is that possible?

You can’t set the questions for specific individual tickets.

You can capture either 1 set of registrant/ticket info or info for all tickets, you can’t select specific tickets to collect info and not others at this time.

Does the pricing add-on question type have the option to use dropdowns?

If I recall correctly the only options available within that add-on are Radio Buttons and Checkboxes. The question type for the price modifier add-ons are specific to that add-on, so a dropdown option would need to be integrated into the add-on itself to allow you to use those.

I’m not sure if Aparna has that available, you would need to contact them directly:
