Hello,

I am setting up Event Espresso and have a close deadline. With Event Espresso, there is only one ticket template. So in essence you have just one design for all your tickets. With the event I am setting up there are 3 types of ticket going on sale.

1. Single Seat
2. VIP Single Seat
3. Table of 10 (For every table of 10 books, 1 ticket will be VIP and the remaining 9 ordinary single)

All tickets will have the same design with the exception of color coding for the VIP tickets. What I want to achieve is to have the tickets designed so that when guests download tickets they get their respective color coded tickets as expected.

For Table of 10, while registrar downloads tickets of view the ticket URL page, he/she should be be seeing 1 VIP (color coded) tickets and 9 other tickets.

How do I achieve this?

Hello, I do have an idea in mind that would let you accomplish this. However, you would need to split this event into multiple events.

The global messages that you mentioned are used for all events by default. However, there is an option to create a custom message type which could then be assigned to an event.

Go ahead and split this event into three events:

Event – Single Seat
Event – VIP Single Seat
Event – Table of 10 (For every table of 10 books, 1 ticket will be VIP and the remaining 9 ordinary single)

Go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then look for the Ticket message type and then click on the create custom button.

This will take you to the messages editor for the Ticket message type. Add a helpful title such as this:

Custom reg approved – VIP Single seat

Then enter a brief description below that. From here you can make changes and then save your customizations by clicking on the save button.

The next step is to assign this to an event. Go to Event Espresso –> Events and click on the name of your event. Scroll to the end of the page and you’ll see the notifications area.

By default, the message types will be set to global. Look for the Ticket message type and click on global which will be a dropdown.

Now select your custom message type for the ticket and then save changes.

You could then repeat the steps above to create additional custom tickets for the other events.
