Link: https://www.hope4jd.org/upcoming-events/?ee=9 I’m a non-profit creating an event for families with different ticket prices for Adults and children. Plus the families can purchase Activity Wristbands for some fun games at the even. So, a family with 2 adults and 3 children might only order wristbands for the 3 children. Make sense? I set up the registration page using the [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK] shortcode button that takes you to the cart to purchase each of these items. In my example, 2 Adults, 3 Children, and 3 Wristbands. The issues i’m running into: 1) The Wristbands count as Attendees. (Really not a big deal) 2) If i have Additional Attendee Registration Info set to “No Info Required” , I still have to fill out a primary attendee for each Price Type. In my case 3, one for Adult, Child and Wristband. The problem here is i get 3 emails sent when i register and when i pay. Plus its more confusing for users filling out only some of the attendees for each Price Type . Why can’t this be just ONE Primary Attendee at the top only? 3) If i have Additional Attendee Registration Info set to “Personal Info Only”, I have to fill out a name and email for each attendee. Several problems here in that kids won’t have an email, the ‘undecided’ option does not work. If i use the same parent’s email address for all entries (8 in my example), the registrant gets 8 separate emails for registration and for payment received. So possibly 16 at one time if they register and pay. I turned off receiving registration emails and payment emails, but then they have no auto notification. I just can’t seem to find a work around to only have one attendee’s entry or one attendee’s email. The only tedious issue is so many emails going to the attendee, since it will usually be one parent signing up for the family. Can I disable email somehow for all the additional attendees? or Disable the attendee registration all together? Thanks! EE: Version 3.1.33 |
Hello there, The system is functioning as designed and there really isn’t a workaround for this because there has to be a first name, last name, and email address for each attendee. You may want to try the Price Modifier add-on that is currently in pre-release. I am currently using this on a personal project and haven’t encountered any issues with it. You can get access to pre-releases here: https://eventespresso.com/2013/01/event-espresso-pre-release-channel/ What you could do is create a question that asks “How many wristbands would you like?” Then set a price for them. When a customer selects the number of wristbands, the price will be increased by the amount set. You could add this to the Primary Attendee’s questions. Let us know if you have any questions. |

Thanks for this! I’m trying out the Price Mod plugin. I’m not clear on where to enter the price for the additional items. In the question? in the event? thanks |

Hi, The documentation for it is found here – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-price-modifier/ but basically it goes in the answer section separated by a “pipe” character e.g. answerone|20.00 |
