Hi,
I’d like to add a terms and conditions required checkbox to my purchases in EE$ but it looks like this documentation if for EE3. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-require-attendees-to-agree-to-a-policy-before-being-allowed-to-register/

Do I need to do anything different?

Any plans to have this as a base feature? Almost any transaction should have this as an option to give a seller legal recourse.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

The steps are very similar for EE4, just in a different section.

I posted some instructions in another thread here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/acknowledgment-of-terms-conditions/#post-148653

Does that help?

We setup EE to cover the most use cases and provide the option for other options so as you can setup the above with a custom question we don’t have any plans to include a terms and conditions type field to the default questions.

Hello Tony,

Thanks for your quick response, you are AWESOME! =) I created a question and then a new question group and added the question to it.

My remaining question is: I’ve got multi-user registration set up so should I add the terms and condition question to that as well or is once enough?

Also, any plans to add this to the official docs? Are people still using EE3?

Thanks!

That’s up to you really.

Personally, I’d just have it on the ‘Primary Registrant’ so its only required once, but it depends on the type of conditions you have set for them to accept. If it’s required for each person to accept them you’ll need it on each, if it’s sufficient for just the ‘paying’ user to accept them just use the primary registrant.

Yes, we are slowly updating all of the documentation for EE4.

Yes people still use EE3. It depends on your requirements if EE3 or EE4 fits, for example, if you heavily rely on recurring events, EE3 is often a better choice as those events are currently much easier to manage in EE3 (EE4 doesn’t officially support recurring events yet).
