I currently have two available payment gateways in my EE: credit card and check.
I’m using Stripe to process CCs, and the default Check gateway for checks.
I’d like to add a percent surcharge to the credit card payment method only, but as far as I can tell, I can only include a percent surcharge as part of a ticket price. When someone purchases a ticket, they receive the surcharge regardless of their payment method.
I’ve researched the issue on the forums and found several people over the last few years with the same request. It looks like admin responses varied from “that would violate the Stripe/PayPal ToS and therefore we don’t support it and have no plans to support it” to “that is a feature we will be supporting in a future patch.”
Anybody have a definitive answer?

Hi,
This is not a feature that will be supported in a future patch, and currently Event Espresso the company has no plans on building an add-on to add this as a feature.
What you can do is make use of the third party “Price Modifier Add-on for EE4” which allows for adding a question to the reg. form e.g.
How will you be paying?
and depending on the answer to that question, modify the price.
