How can I, in addition to the entry fee ($90)for a bowling tournament, add optional events?
As an example:
Best 3 of 9 games ($15)
Scratch Roll-Off ($30)

Hi Paul,

You would need to add the additional options as tickets.

In your case you could set the ‘Entry fee’ ticket to be required by clicking the cog icon for that ticket and checked the checkbox to mark the ticket required.

This means all registrations must select that ticket once and then select additional tickets for the extras.

Would that work?

Hi Tony, I have made the Entry Fee required as you suggested, but can’t make the other tickets (optional events) show up in registration.

You currently have an EE4 support license but the site linked to your license is using EE3.

Can you let me know which version of EE you are currently using? If it’s the site linked to your license that would be EE3 so the above will not work.

The site linked is not correct. I should have registered under a different email, to separate the two accounts. The site is PRIT.net, I have installed EE4 there.

Ok, so with EE4 you would just create additional tickets.

You would have the Entry fee sat to required – http://take.ms/gPQLf

Then have your options as additional tickets (the bottom of the screenshot)

The user then selects those tickets and begins the registration – http://take.ms/70FxF

Is that not what you are looking for?

Tony, yes that is how I would like to set mine up, I just can’t figure out how to do it? Could you take a look at it? http://prit.net/events/prit-2017/

Tony, I did figure out how to make mine display like your example.
But can I make it so that the Entry Fee Ticket only has a Qty of 1 and the other tickets have a Qty of 0 or 1?

Sure, each ticket can have a ‘Max’ and ‘Min’ qty set on it.

Starting with your required ticket, click the cog icon and look within the ticket settings – http://take.ms/dP2zR

Set the min and max qty to 1.

Then do exactly the same for all of your other tickets.

Update the event and view the front end, you should see something like this – http://take.ms/7F58g

You’re require ticket will also show as 1 as it is required, then each of the additional tickets will show 0, but only allow you to select 1 of each.

ok that worked for me Tony.

I have it set now that you can purchase one ticket.
But now I’m confused because I want user to be able to do the following:
Either just register themselves, or register themselves and a bowling partner, or register themselves and 2 other team members or 3 other team members.
So does a ticket equal an attendee or do I need to do something else?

Hi Paul,

There is a relationship between the number of pricing options (e.g. tickets) selected and the number of registrants.

For example, one ticket equals one participant and two tickets equals two participants and so forth.

You currently have the event setup to collect contact information for each ticket information so that will collect information for a single participant or multiple participants.

How can I change it so it collects registration info for only one participant? But so that 1 participant can select optional events if the like, such as Best 3 of 6 event, and Scratch Master?

Hello,

You can do that by removing the checkmark from the additional registrant personal question group through the event editor.

However, that will use the primary registrants information for all ticket options for the event.

Are you needing to collect information from any additional guests through this specific event?
