I have had a very strange incident Yesterday I was logged in the back end of the site and a customer phoned to book on one of our trips I went to the front end of the site and entered all the details, through to paying and completed the registration When looking at the registrations I noticed that it had changed her details to mine, so I then edited and changed it back to her Then I noticed on the admin bar that my name had been changed to hers I went in to user profile and noticed all my details had then changed to hers After a bit of backwards and forwarding changing I thought the only way to do this is to delete the registration and re-enter from new This I did BUT against my profile (in User profile) it is showing the registration – if clicked on it shows an error. So my question is how do I firstly remove the registration from my profile and secondldy how do I ensure this doesnt happen in future. Thanks |
It sounds like you are using the WP User Integration add-on on the site, the purpose of that add-on is to log all the registrations with your account and also sync your user account with the details of your registration meaning the add-on is working as expected (but not how you’re expecting). Can I ask what are you using that add-on for?
The registration is assigned to your EE contact and your EE contact is assigned to your WP User. The simplest way to remove that registration from your account is to remove the registration within EE and create a new registration for the user, however, the same will happen again if you add a registration to the event whilst logged into your account. You will need to either, add the registration through admin (Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations -> Add new registration) or log out first then add the registration, or switch to their account and add the registration using their account on the front end.
It depends on why your using the above add-on, so before I go into details can you let me know what your using it for? |

Hi Tony I have the EE WP Users plugin added. I am not actually using it at all I dont think, so I assume I can deactivate and delete it I actually deleted the registration and then did a new registration in Firefox whilst not logged in – that solved the issue of getting the correct details on the booking When I go into contacts there is a user now with my name and the cusotmers address and payment info. I moved this to trash but cant actually get rid of it When I go to my profile the transaction detail is still showing so what I would really like to do is get rid of this detail. I guess to stop this happening, removing that particular plugin is the thing to do? Thanks |
Yes, remove the plugin if you are not using it. The add-on is working as it’s expected to work, but because you’re not expecting that your running into the above.
Have you removed the registration already? Not just trashed it but perm deleted? |

When i go to the contact its in trash but then i dont have the option to permenantly delete them |
That’s the contact, you can’t delete contacts through the admin. However, I’m currently asking about the registration:

Yes – and it does look now as though it has cleared everything. The contact now has the correct details on it and my own profile is back to how it should be |
