How can I add or remove fields from the Front End submission form? Also, I did a test by entering an event in Front End and when I click “Edit Event” it takes me to the log in page although I am already logged in. Is this how it should work?

Hi MsBecca,

The front end event manager is currently in prerelease:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/front-end-event-manager/

When you login to your WordPress admin, are you able to see the event or is the information missing?

Regarding the front end pre-release, where would I go to submit any suggestions/bugs? Any idea how long it will be before it is released? Yes I am able to view the event in WordPress admin once logged in but for some reason it submitted the event twice.

Hello again, I can create that report for you.

Could you please re-test one more time to rule out a conflict with a theme or a plugin?

1) Please temporarily disable all plugins
2) Switch to a default (unmodified) theme
3) Enable Event Espresso along with the Front End Event Manager

Then could you try creating a new event?

Suggestions:

1. It would be helpful if fields can be added/removed from the form.
2. When I add an event using the form the image appears too large in the calendar view template. It would be helpful if it could be automatically resized.

Question:

1. When a user adds an event using the front end form, will it still show in the admin dashboard?
2. Any idea when the front-end feature will be release?

Thanks, I will send any other suggestions/questions as they arise.

Hi there,

I can follow up with your questions:

1. When a user adds an event using the front end form, will it still show in the admin dashboard?

Yes.

2. Any idea when the front-end feature will be release?

Our policy, like that of many companies, is not to comment on future plans or work in progress.

Josh,

Regarding #2, It was my understanding that this was going to be released soon when I asked this question over a year ago. See the following post:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/front-end-submission/
It would really help to get an update since this is really a much needed feature for me and I’m sure others. Thanks.

Hi,

The post you linked to is in relation to the Pre Release plugin Front End Manager, which has been released in Beta via the Pre Release Channel.

As Josh mentioned we can’t really discuss when or if something from the Beta channel will make it’s way into the formal release channel.
