Adding a new registration for an expired ticket

And had hope that the solution posted therein would solve my problem, but… it doesn’t.

While you can add registrations via the Dashboard by setting the event to “Draft”, you CANNOT add registrations for expired tickets and still must edit the dates of the tickets to add the registration.

As this was the stated point of the previously referred post, I feel that the issue has yet to be resolved and would like a proper answer.

Hi there,

Currently you can not add registrations to expired tickets, even through the admin, so the dates need to be changed to open the ticket, the registration added and then the dates changed to close the ticket again.

What Lorenzo is trying to suggest there is to set the event to draft, edit the dates to allow you add the registration in the admin without giving users access to the ticket on the front end, then closing the ticket again and re-publishing the event.

One problem with the above is the event will not be visible to users at all whilst in draft.

Another option to setting the event to draft is to st the ‘Display Ticket Selector’ option to No, its available within Event Registration Options settings – http://take.ms/vDYz6

Again you will still need to edit the dates for the ticket allow registrations, but the change will prevent front end users from registering onto that ticket whilst it is open.
