I recently updated version 4 to the latest version. However, after making some changes on the site, I noticed the “add to cart” buttons, etc. are showing up in the Services menu (above the other post titles) instead of being embedded directly in the page. I use a child theme to avoid this type of error. However, I’d appreciate any suggestions how to correct this. Thank you! http://trilink.pro/events/eo-review-and-case-studies/
Josh,
Thanks for your help. I deactivated the plugins before and after updating. Once I updated to 4.1.11, the Add to Cart button returned. However, I still see the registration add to cart info in the Services tab. Any suggestions how to proceed from here? It appears somehow I’ve inserted language which makes it appear above the other posts inside the Services dropdown navigation.???
So we know it’s not something in the child theme. Can you try temporarily deactivating all non-EE plugins? Also, if you install the theme test drive plugin you can test drive one of the twenty* themes (you’ll need to save the menu config for the tested theme) and check to see if the extra content still shows up in the menu. This will help narrow down what’s causing the issue.
Josh, I viewed via Theme test drive. We’re using a custom theme, which has nav built-into it. So,it appears its somewhere in the code causing it to show up in the Services “drop-down”. It’s basically the same event you’re viewing in a single post format, which shows up in the Services menu. This doesn’t seem to happen when viewing the event registration page.
Sean, is this custom navigation hardcoded in, is it using native WordPress navigation menus, or something else? If you can post your template code that displays the custom menu in a pastebin and post a link to it here that may help us investigate.
Josh, it appears the custom nav is hardcoded in. It appears from the view source that the Events code is showing below services. However, I’ll have to see if I can find where the nav is, as I don’t see this code, except in view source.
To help you narrow down where to look, usually navigation menus are in the header.php template, but your theme may be different.
