Would like to add the “Payor” fields to the Payment notification emails that are sent to the admin. This will help them reconcile the payments received & registrations.
If you go in to edit the Payment Notification email template, specifically the admin context, you’ll see a cc: field you can use to send to an additional email address.
The email message templates are located in Event Espresso > Messages > Default Message Templates.
So, the Payor field is the name/info connected to the person that is paying for the course. Sometimes this is different than the person who is attending the course. On the payment screen (last screen in the checkout process) we changed the field descriptions to read “Payor First Name” and “Payor Last Name”. I think the fields previously defaulted to primary attendee first & last name.
When we are trying to reconcile the payments from PayPal with the registrants it’s hard when the name in PayPal is a person that has paid for the course for someone else but is not attending a course. We thought having the “payor” info in the notification email to the admin would help with that process.
I have only been able to find ways to add primary registrant, attendees and payee info to the notification emails.
The values passed to billing fields aren’t available for email templates. What you can do is add a field to the Primary Registrant part of registration form that captures the Payor name, and that value can be passed into an email template with: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Payor Name]
