In our business, we have several clients that work for trade (ie exchange their professional services for ours), and we’d like to be able to note that as a payment type. Is there a way to add a payment type that is not linked to a payment gateway?

Could you let us know the version of Event Espresso you are running so we can share some feedback?
One of the offline payment gateways may be an option.

We are currently running Event Espresso 4.2.8.p with plans to update to 4.4.3.p. Thanks for any advice!

Hi Kathy,
There are several offline payment gateways available. You could rename one of the offline payment gateways for this. Here is an example:

Ok. I see how that works. Is there a way to make it so that this payment type is not available to everyone registering online? Trade has to be approved, so we need an admin to check the registrant’s trade account before they can be enrolled. Thanks again for your help!

Hi,
Any active gateway will be shown to the users, there isn’t a way that I can see to avoid that.
