hi there,
i’ve purchased the business license, installed the plugin and played with the settings without problems, but when i’ve tried to activate social coupons plugin, i get this error message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Warning: require_once(EVENT_ESPRESSO_PLUGINFULLPATHincludes/functions/database_install.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/adminftp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-ticketing/espresso-ticketing.php on line 106

WordPress version: 3.9.1
Event Espresso: Version 4.2.4.reg
Event Espresso – Ticketing: Version 2.1.p
New installation: YES
Registration page: http://dobuytickets.com/?page_id=9

thanks,
Adam

PS. i’m also not able to activate Social Coupons, Event Espresso – MailChimp Integration, Event Espresso – Permissions

PS2. i’ve tried to deactivate all the other non events espresso plugins and also trying default Twenty Fourteen template, but still get error messages

Hi Adam,

Currently you have Event Espresso 4 installed on the site and you are trying to install the Event Espresso 3 Add-ons.

Currently EE4 is not compatible with any of the EE3 Add-on’s although the Calendar Add-on has been re-created so is now available for EE4. You can read more about that here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-events-calendar-add-on-now-available/

Currently if you require the functionality of the Add-ons you will need to use Event Espresso 3.

hi,
thanks for your prompt reply!
i’ve installed version Version 3.1.36.5.P but unfortunately, when i go to events espresso general settings, adjust settings and click ‘save’, it redirects me to 404 error page on the front-end. am i missing something obvious?

thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Another plugin on your site may be creating a conflict and triggering the error.

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate Event Espresso and then test updating a setting on the General Settings page?

If it works, then please reactivate your plugins one by one to locate the source of the conflict.

hi Lorenzo,
that’s not the case. i’ve tried it on a fresh wordpress installation with no plugins and default template.

what’s weird is that even the dashboard feed from event espresso shows message:
From the Blog
RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: connect() timed out!

any ideas what could that mean?

thanks,
Adam

hi Lorenzo,
any news regarding this issue?

thanks,
Adam

PS. in the meantime, i’ve contacted my server company explaining the same issue and they’ve said:

“Your access to the server was blocked by mod security rule which shows that the plugin was used for some HTTP attacks. Are you using the latest version of this plugin? Can you please try to reinstall it?”

however, i’ve been testing it on a completely fresh wordpress installation, tried to reupload event espresso several times either so i’m not sure why would that be.

Hi Adam,

I believe Lorenzo is awaiting a response regarding that the site is running the free version.

Regarding the hosts message, did they provide any further details regarding this? We are not aware of any issues, but we take security very seriously. If you have any further information, please provide it via email (not in the forum).

hi Dean,
the site is running business license version at the moment.
i’ve just talked to the server support and they’ve whitelisted the hosting account and i was able to activate plugins which i couldn’t before.
though, there’s still one issue i’ve noticed so far (i’ve just started testing it all out), namely the dashboard feed doesn’t work.
it shows: WP HTTP Error: connect() timed out!

it doesn’t seem to be the biggest issue, but i’m just a little worried that it might indicated there’s still something wrong with the site.

sorry i left this message here again, i’m not sure which email address i should use?

thanks,
Adam

hi Lorenzo,
i’m still a bit confused where should i reply so i just leave a note here..

my hosting company change some security settings (whitelisted my account) and everything seems to work (so far) except of the Event Espresso News feed in the dashboard. it’s not something i really need, but it works on another servers and i’m just worrying that it might trigger some more errors on the way.

is there any chance for you to look into that please?

thanks,
Adam

Hello,

I didn’t hear back on my prior message but it looks like the blog information in the WordPress admin is loading.

Could you confirm?
