I’m trying hard to understand why we would not be able to add an existing contact to a new event/ticket. The same contact wants to register for a new event. Other than to log in as that customer, shouldn’t I be able to start a new (manual) registration and then link it to an existing contact??
We don’t currently have the option to select a contact to add a registration to, however, if you enter details that match an EE contact in the system EE will automatically link the registration to that contact.
So if you add a new registration from within the admin (Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations -> Add new registration.
Select their tickets and input the First Name, Last Name and Email that matches the contact (must match exactly) EE will link the registration to that contact.
We do have a feature request to add the option to select a contact/user account to link the registration to on our roadmap here:
