Hi,
Should the EE4 Transaction ID appear on Payment Details section of the notification email of PayPal? If not, is there a way to make this happen?
On WordPress 4.3 + EE 4.8.8

Hi Raffy,
Currently the EE Transaction ID is not passed to PayPal but it is included within the Payment Received email sent by EE – http://take.ms/04wtO

Hi Tony,
Yes, I have seen EE transaction ID with payment received email.
As a double check, I need that EE transaction ID as an item with the PayPal notification email so I can match the PayPal ID with the EE ID without opening both sites and doing it manually.
Is the a way I can do this?

Hi Raffy,
Could you get the information from the email or through the transaction details record in your WP dashboard?
Here is an example:

The transaction ID (generated by Event Espresso) is 40 and the transaction ID (generated by PayPal) is 7FK59289HB671801L.

On the site:
I can get the EE transaction ID and the PayPal transaction ID from the WP dashboard.
On email:
I get the EE transaction ID from the Event Payment Detail Notification email.
I get the PayPal transaction ID from a Paypal Notification email.
These two transaction IDs are separate. I want them together at least on the PayPal transaction ID from PayPal or on both PayPal and EE notification email.
Is this possible?

Hi Raffy,
No, currently that’s possible.
However it should be possible for use to add the gateway transaction shortcode to the payment confirmation email sent by EE. This will parse to the last gateway transaction ID within the EE transaction.
I have created a feature request ticket for this requesting feedback from the developers.

No feedback as of yet, I’ll check in with the developers when they come online and check to see if this is something we can add.
