How do I add the name of the company a registrar works for to the invoice? I have already created a question and added it to the Personal question group. The invoice needs to be addressed to the company name instead of the person’s name. |
Hi, the PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_* shortcode is available for use. You could add it to the invoice through Messages –> Invoice –> Purchaser. For example, if the company name question was Company Name, then you could use something like this: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Company Name] http://cl.ly/image/2s0J171X2J0J — |

I have named the custom question “Company Name” and also made the admin name the same. I have created a custom invoice, added the shortcode in the appropriate place, and assigned the custom invoice template the event. However, it is still not showing. Right now the section of the invoice reads: Bill To: [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*Company Name] I was able to create a custom receipt/order confirmation and remove several areas etc and it is working so I feel like I have a basic understanding of how to manipulate the templates to make changes. Please help! |

I have been able to add the exact same short code to various places in email templates etc and it is working everywhere but the invoice. |

Hi, In EE 4.7.6, I added it to the invoice Main Content area, and it worked fine. I added it to a custom invoice and it also worked. Did you remember to update the event after assigning the custom invoice to it? (Just asking as I forgot to do it, so it’s quite easy to miss). |
|
Yes I did last night and I went back in this morning to verify the company was on the custom template as well as verify the custom template is assigned to the invoice in the event and clicked update again. Then I went onto a different computer and did another test registration and it is still not showing. Use the following url to register for any of the sponsor options to see what I am talking about. |
Hi, I tested this on my end using a question called “Company Name” and it did appear: http://cl.ly/image/3L1H271w0Q2s Are editing only the custom invoice? — |
|
|
Yes I am only editing a custom invoice called Sponsor Invoice (id:18). The custom invoice is assigned to the 2015 Sponsor event. Someone (I am assuming on your end) submitted a test registration – did the company show on the invoice when you submitted the test? |

I just checked the text version and saw some extra code/character stuff in the shortcode section for the company. I removed it and now it is properly displaying the company on the invoice. For now the issue is resolved. |
That is great news! Was it some extra spacing or was it something like HTML code? — |
|
|
It was some type of HTML code. [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_ANSWER_*</wr>Company Name] I think but I am not positive. I already deleted the extra code. |
Thanks for sharing. That will be helpful for other members that may experience this issue. I’ll update this support post to resolved. If you have any other questions, then please do create a new support post: https://eventespresso.com/support/forums/ — |
