Hello, I read similar problems on 3 threads but none of them helped me. – I unactivated the plugins http://www.yyy.ch/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_events&action=create_new I still have the error on the link: Access Denied The only things working are the setting via the plugin -> settings What is strange is that on my test website, I installed it without any worries, and it could not be a server problem as both are hosted on the same server, with the same plugins. Please let me know if you could help me furter with my problem? |
Hi Hautlac, that link appears to be the link for creating a new event through your WordPress dashboard. Are there any security restrictions on the server such as modsecurity? Could you share a screenshot of exactly what you are seeing? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots — |

No and I forgot to say that we are on a IIS server. Here is a screenshot: |
You could try going to http://www.yyy.ch/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings&action=reset_capabilities&return=data_reset and it might reset capabilities. Normally I’d advise checking the .htaccess file in a case like this, but since you’re on an IIS server (which by the way, we don’t support) you can check for something equivalent (webconfig?) and compare the config between your test and live sites. |

We have the same webconfig…the same things inside folders, the only thing is that we probably installed version 3 to test it long time ago. |
You might find a solution in one of these threads: |

We finally found a solution by creating a small plugin to give rights to the admin through it. |
Nice! Do you or can you have the plugin posted up on a Gist so that others in the same predicament may also be able to benefit from it? |
