Hello,
We are interested in only allowing payments through paypal in the frontend that users register the event on.
However, we do need to be able to process a registration that is pending or abandoned in the following workflow:
1. Send an invoice to the registrant.
2. have the registrant transfer money to our bank account according to the invoice.
3. Set the registration status to “complete” and issue a reciet that the registrant can download (or is mailed automatically to them) with the payment confirmation.
I tried toying with this – but it seems that if I just use “apply payment” than there is no invoice nor a reciept produced.
How exactly can I set this up?

Hi there,
We don’t have a specific feature/message just for sending over an invoice to pay in the way you have requested, although you can include links to the invoice within most of the messages within EE.
So the way I would set this up is to using the Payment Reminder email, include a link within that to the Invoice and also additional instructions within that email for the user to follow (those instructions can also be included in the invoice itself).
You would then basically just need to trigger the payment reminder for the registrations you want to use this on, they receive the email and follow the steps to pay.
Would that work for you? (I can add more details on setting this up if so)

Invoices and Receipts within Event Espresso are dynamically generated for registrations, which basically means if a registration has been created within the system, it has an invoice/receipt.
