Hello, I’m wondering if you could provide suggestions on setting up a way to accept payments through EE, for donations, memberships, sponsorships, etc. Donations could be in set amounts ($25, $50, $100, $500, etc). Memberships don’t need to be managed…I just am looking for a way to accept payments. When I have the payment date, I can manage the memberships.
Also, I set up an event for the above. The field showing that I would like eliminated is the Date/Time field. Is there a way to do this?
If that is not possible, what would you enter for dates? Jan 1, year to Dec 31, 2030?
Any other suggestions you have would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi there,
So a donation buys a membership to the site? If so it sounds like you’d be better using a membership plugin to manage those donations rather than an EE event.

You can’t remove the dates from the event itself, but you can hide the dates on the event details using CSS.

If you are set on using an EE events for this then yes, just set your dates to something far into the future. Note you won’t be able to display that event on the calendar as it will show a long single event spanning across all dates between your dates.
