WP 4.1 EE 4.6 just upgraded

All 50 of the registrations on my first page of registrations are showing yellow-abandoned in the date reg column even though most of them were approved.

Weird things happening – when I change the status of one registration to cancelled ALL of the transactions on that page change to cancelled in the TXN Date column!!! Even though I can go into details and see that it was approved!!! Now I’m worried.

Hi Vauna,

When you change the status, does the status of the other attendees change or is it just the colour in the TXN Date column? As in when you edit another attendee is their status correct or has it been modified as well?

If it is just the colour, then we will have a fix for that shortly.

In the txn date column, it not only changed the color but also says “incomplete”, even though when I click on the view registration details icon on the left many of them say it was approved. This happened to all 50 on page 1. On page 2 of my registrations, in the txn date column they all are green and say “approved” even though some of them are incomplete.

Hi Vauna,

This was fixed earlier today with Event Espresso 4.6.1. Have you tried updating to 4.6.1?

I am running 4.6.2 and I am having a similar issue where I have 4 registrations showing as abandoned. 1 of which has an approved payment, 2 are marked as failed, and one looks like it actually was abandoned.

Please update to 4.6.4. This should have resolved the issue but if not please advise.

Just updated to 4.6.4 and still have registrations labelled as abandoned, one of which has a confirmed/approved payment listed in the transaction.

I just updated to 4.6.4 and it appears to be fixed. Fingers crossed!

Is it possible that the registration that came through at the time that 4.6.1 remains mis-labelled even if the bug is gone in 4.6.4.

When the PayPal IPN comes in does it change the registration status at that point? ie: because 4.6.1 was active when the IPN came from PayPal the status wasn’t changed, therefore it is still showing as abandoned.

If that is the case, is there a way to change the status of the registration so it is no longer labelled as abandoned?

Hi Scott,

PayPal posts the IPN information to the transactions page for Event Espresso and you can definitely change the status for the transaction.

Login to your WP dashboard and go to the transactions screen. Then click on the Abandoned transactions link.

Then click on the date or the ID for the transaction.

You’ll now be viewing the transaction details screen. Scroll to the payment details area:

Then click on apply payment. You’ll see a pop up window like this:

Enter the transaction details — amount, payment method (e.g. PayPal). Then scroll down and click on Apply Payment.

If needed, you can then resend the registration details through the registration overview screen by locating that registrant and clicking on the email icon.

The problem was that there was already a payment in that payment details section. So I just manually approved the registration and the abandoned status also went away.
