In the last couple months we’ve run into an issue where people abandon their carts but are counted towards the total slots available for our events. We have tried the method of resetting the ticket and daytime reserved counts, but the issue keeps happening. This seems to coincide with the latest update – not sure what other potential causes or remedies may be.
Yes, they become active again. But we’re having to do this rather frequently – the tickets are being reserved for longer than an hour (typically more than a day).
It sounds like your site could use an additional cron scheduled to remove those reserved tickets from when there are abandoned carts. This is fairly straightforward to add by installing the code as a plugin. You can get the plugin code from here:
