Version 4.9.2.p Client just alerted me. Thought it might be a simple sort, but no, from early July 18 until noonish today, registrations are gone. Not in trash. I did an “all registration csv export” yesterday around 3 p.m. The export seemed to keep running, that is, running again after I downloaded the info. I cancelled and closed the page. It was (near the end of the progress bar at that point.) Any idea what has happened. I have been trying to get access to the database from them for months, and perhaps now will be able to. If I can see anything in there, I’ll update. (Also want to know if I can easily restore from yesterday’s csv export, but it seems there would have been some registrations betwween then and noon today, so likely more missing.) |

Sounds like someone may have restored the database from an earlier version. A page edit client made has also disappeared. |

Solved. Sorry for panic, but they’ve been a bit testy about EE and I was really hoping it wasn’t a glitch with the plugin. Got in touch with someone who has just moved the site to a new host. I guess they set up the new host 8 days ago and nameservers were just changed today. Now, I’ll try and find the old database. |
Hi Vic, Thanks for updating your support post with more information about the site migration. Were there any other questions that we could help you with? — |

Thanks for following up, Lorenzo. Okay, now my challenge is to get the missing registrations back in there. The person who did the migration has set up a working site with the most current db from the old host, and I can see the registrations there. I don’t yet have access to phpmyadmin for it, but will likely soon, and I also have the full .sql export. I expect that the data for the registration is spread over various tables and it won’t be a matter of simply appending missing records to wp_posts or wherever they may be. I’m hoping that it’s possible to export them via WP and import them via WP, but I don’t know if that’s going to be possible. Do you have any suggestions for me? Appreciate it! I wish they’d asked me to do the migration. 🙁 Vic |
Hi Vic, Since there isn’t an attendee import/export feature in EE4, I’m afraid the simplest way to add those missing registrations back will be by manually adding them via the dashboard. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/manually-add-registrant-wordpress-dashboard/ The reason it’s not going to be a simple task to add them via phpmyadmin is because one transaction record (in esp_transaction) will have at least one and possibly many related records in several other tables including esp_registration, esp_line_item, _posts, esp_answer, esp_attendee_meta, esp_payment, esp_registration_payment and so on. |

I suspected that would be the case. There are nearly 200 missing registrations to re-enter, though I could possibly reverse it and have them add in the last two days registrations manually instead. Thanks. |

Actually, probably fewer entries since there’s an entry row for every ticket. |
