Hi Guys. Apologies for the complex question, Im an old EE user from years ago and doing some new work. A few quick questions – Does event espresso allow multiple organisations to set up and list thier own events and venues Apologies for the obscure questions, we have a very specific purpose in mind so always good to ask! |
Hi Derek, I’ll break down each question and ask as best I can.
Event Espresso is designed to allow a user/organisation to host their own events rather than a as a Event Market place type of solution. It is possible to setup EE to allow for this, but it would likely take some custom modifications to get it working how you it sounds like you are expecting. The admin can be done using custom roles and capabilities, the front end will need some customisation to list out organisation specific events (or you could use a category but you’ll need to make sure the events are assigned to the correct category for the organisation)
It really depends on what you want to edit, where you want to edit it and how you want it displays here. Do you mean within the admin or on the front end? EE allows for a lot of customization, we have a huge amount of hooks within EE and can always request others if needed.
I’m not sure I understand what showing an organisation would be, can you expand on this please? I think it likely links back to #1 in that you’ll need to create a role that only lists that users/organisations events but again depends on if you are referring to the admin or front end.
Currently we do not have an integration with GeoMyWP so this would require custom development.
The Event Admin (the user account that created the individual event) received notifications for the events. You can setup event registration to be ‘Not Approved’ which allows the user to register their details onto the event and the Event Admin can then manually approved that user if accepted. Would that work?
A list of all events for that organisation? They can if you setup a role to list only their events. They can then go to the event list within the admin and only see those events and registrations for those event.
Like a front end event management page to add/edit/manage their events? If so that’s currently possible. I would highly recommend applying to Test Drive Event Espresso 4 so you can get a view of how Event Espresso worked. The testdrive site will be a site that you can create events and run registrations to see how EE functions. |
