just updated ee4 to 4.6.2 and everything went blank: wordpress, site… we have completely disabled the plugin – the only way to put the site back up. does anyone have a solution for this? |
|
wanted to add. my WP is 4.1 |
Hi Armen, A blank page usually means a fatal error has been thrown. If you activate WP_Debug and re-activate Event Espresso is there an error message shown? |

Hi Tony, thanks for the quick reply. here it is Strict Standards: Redefining already defined constructor for class googlefonts in /home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/wp-google-fonts/google-fonts.php on line 140 Warning: require_once(/home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg_/core/helpers/EEH_Debug_Tools.helper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg_/espresso.php on line 188 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg_/core/helpers/EEH_Debug_Tools.helper.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/pear:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/php’) in /home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg_/espresso.php on line 188 |

I am not sure if this is going to make a difference, but i have just in case renamed the folder back to its original name Warning: require_once(/home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/helpers/EEH_Debug_Tools.helper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/espresso.php on line 188 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/helpers/EEH_Debug_Tools.helper.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/pear:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/php’) in /home/athgoorg/public_html/athgo/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/espresso.php on line 188 |
How did you update Event Espresso? Did you update manually via FTP or using the auto update? If you update manually, did you first delete the plugin and then upload the new version or overwrite the current version? |
|
|
through wordpress, plugin auto update |
Can you delete Event Espresso from your plugin list. Go to Your Account Page, download the latest version of EE4 to your computer, desktop for example, then upload this file manually by going to: Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin. |

|
worked. thanks Tony! |
Great I’m glad that worked for you. Any other problems just let us know 🙂 |

Hi there Armen, if you haven’t already done so, could you please backup your site and update to Event Espresso 4.6.3? Thanks — |
