Moving '/events/' page url

Hi – my current url to show the upcoming events is http://www.myurl.com/folder/events (current directory permalink structure is set up as /folder/%postname%/). Is it possible to move the page to a different url? I’d like to go back to http://www.myurl.com/events w/o modifying my permalink structure.

Thanks!

Hi Ray, the /events/ page is a virtual page that is automatically created by Event Espresso. It uses the permalink settings that are setup so if there is a folder name, then that will appear in the URL.

You could create a new WordPress page and then add the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode to that page. Then you could add this page to your website’s navigation through the Appearance –> Menus screen in your WP dashboard.

Hi Lorenzo – thanks for your note, but the short code [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] displays the list of events differently than the /events/ page. That’s why I am interested in moving the url.

Maybe I should modify the template?

Hi, what kind of differences are you seeing between the pages?

We did correct an issue with the ticket selector CSS not being loaded and that is available in 4.7.5 and up:
