I have a couple events with a sell until date of 3/5/15 and they are still appearing on my feed page: http://www.cynergycrossfit.com/foundations-registration/
They are the March 3 Foundations events. Would appreciate your help with that. Thanks

Hi,

The events are still classed as active as they have not expired (for example the first Foundations course will expire end of March 13th).

Right now there isn’t a way to hide that sort of event from within the plugin’s settings.

I’ll add a feature request.

Hi Dean, thanks for your response. However, I never had an issue with this before I upgraded to 4.0+ It worked fine in your 3.0 versions…

Hi Carol, we’ll update this support post once we have more information on the feature request.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Thank you Lorenzo – I appreciate it, because the length of the program should not impact the “sell until” date.

Hi Carol,

It turns out that the length of the program does not impact the sell until date. What happens is the event list in EE4 shows all active events by default, regardless of what’s set for the sell until date. One of the reasons for this is because we’ve gotten feedback that when an event is in progress and it’s not listed, some folks thought that the event was cancelled when they didn’t see it in the list. ie “Hey, I checked the website to get information about the event tomorrow and I don’t see it anywhere listed on the website. Has the event been cancelled?”

That said, it is possible to make the EE4 event list not include events that no longer have tickets for sale by adding some custom code to your WordPress theme. If this is something you want changed, I can share a possible solution that involves adding some custom templates to your WordPress theme. Will that work for you?

Hi Josh, thanks for your response and explanation. However, I would prefer to modify the event listings with a shortcode rather than modifying templates. Do you think that would be possible? Appreciate your help, thank you.

Hi Carol,

It turns out that it won’t be possible to modify the event listings with a shortcode. However, the modification can be made without modifying templates by adding the code presented here to a custom snippets plugin.
