Double emails for single registrant (primary and regular)

Hi,

When a single registrant goes through the checkout process he/she becomes the primary registrant as well as a registrant which leads to this person getting both emails from the “approved” email template. So basically they get the email which is sent to the primary registrant and the email sent to all other registrants.

I’m using the latest version of WP and EE4 *.9.p

Seems like a bug?

Thanks

Having the same issue.

I set the “to” field in the registrant template to one of my own, so that the registrant wouldn’t get it, but having the option to disable each of the messages would be better.

(And even better: Have the ability to set custom conditions for sending email. For instance so that registration emails are sent to the event admin only if my custom “Messages to event admin” form field was filled out by the attendee.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Hi,

The Registration Approved message type does not have the Primary Registrant context enabled by default, so the user should only be receiving a single email, unless you have also enabled the Primary Registrant context?

The Primary Registrant context would be used when you need to provide information to the primary attendee that you do not need/want to send to send to all of the attendees.

Hi Jonathan, go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then locate the Registration Approved message type. Click on the Primary Registrant recipient.

Then remove the shortcode or email from the TO field and save changes:

Okay thats easy enough.. Altho I actually do want to use primary registrant and the regular one.. I just dont want the primary registrant to get duplicates. But it’ll have to do for now

Alright, you can also do that for other recipients.

Removing the email or shortcode in the TO field will deactivate that recipient and they should appear grey when you are viewing the messages overview screen:

Event Espresso –> Messages
