After installing 4.6.14.p emails not being sent

After installing 4.6.14p, registrants are no longer receiving “Event Registration Details” and “Ticket Notification” emails. They are however receiving “Event Payment Details” emails.

I’m using Mandrillapp for my mail server. I can go into “Event Espresso – Registrations” page and resend these emails on a per registrant successfully.

Site is http://sydney.anglo-indian-reunion.com/ and I have EE Mailchimp 2.2.2.p, EE Calendar 3.2.1.p, EE Social 1.0.p and EE Ticketing 1.0.1.p installed.

Please help – looking at making this site live on Sunday.

Regards

John.

Hi John,

Can you go to edit the event, and check the Default Registration Status setting? Is it set to Approved or Pending Payment? If it’s set to be Approved, can you try setting it to Pending Payment?

Hi Josh

It’s currently set to Pending Payment. The payments have been made by credit card therefore they are then going to approved automatically.

John.

I just tested selecting a different payment method, e.g. cheque, and I got sent the “Registration Pending Payment” but not the “Event Registration Details” email.

The admin is not getting the “Event Registration Details” version either.

Hi John,

Can you let me know which payment methods are in use?

As an aside, you would not normally get an Event Registration Details email after finalizing with the cheque payment method, only the Registration Pending Payment email should automatically send.

Hi Josh,

I’m using Credit Card, Cheque, Bank Draft and Invoice (even though I overridden the name of Invoice to EFT).

Josh, unfortunately I don’t have much time to work on this the morning, is there any chance I can use a support token and get you guys to login and just fix whatever’s wrong?

Hi John,

When you say credit card gateway, do you mean PayPal Pro, Authorize.net, or Stripe. Since we do not know what could be causing the emails to not go out, we need to investigate before anyone can just fix whatever’s wrong. Before you buy a support token, you can send in full temporary credentials here:

Hi John,

I checked your site and ran a test registration on the “dummy event” that you have set up. I tested with the cheque payment method and the Registration Pending Payment email was automatically sent when the registration was finalized.

I can look into the issue with the Registration approved and ticket notices emails not sending when the “Credit Card” (actually Mijireh) payment method is used and payment is made. May I ask if the “WordPress Simple Firewall” plugin was installed recently?

Hi Josh,

I saw that you had done a test. Yes can you please checkout what’s going on with the credit card payments. I’ll refund any transaction that you make.

I reinstalled the WordPress Simple Firewall recently but it was installed during prior testing. Actually the the two newer plug-ins are iControlWP and Ninja Forms.

John.

Hi John,

Yes, and I turned this over to the dev team and they are working on a fix for the Mijireh gateway.

Hi Josh,

Any ETA on a fix for this issue?

Hi,

I can’t provide an ETA as such, but the issue has been resolved in our development version and will be included in EE 4.6.15.

Event Espresso 4.6.15.p is released and includes a fix for the Mijireh payment method.

Hi Josh,

Excellent. I’m just in the process of cloning to a dev server (I’ve never need one before as it wasn’t a production site) and I’ll then install this update and test.

John.

Good to hear John. A dev server is the way to go for sure. A little note on setting up the dev server that will help: You can do EE plugin updates on the dev server without entering a support license key by following the instructions under Manually updating plugins here:

Hi guys,

Finally got my development server up an running (uber.com.au are the worst hosting service, I had to move my DNS to dyn.com as they couldn’t get my dev server dns to work) and tested creating a new bookings and paying via mijreh. While I now successfully get registration and ticketing emails sent, they are being sent twice.

I’ve rolled 4.6.17p into production, as manually releasing bookings is more painful then people getting sent two copies of their registration email.

Can you please look into why I’m now sending the registration and ticket notifications twice.

Regards

John.
