Wrong amount in the invoice / automated email

When we register participants in the system (by logging in to WordPress) then the invoice and automated email displays the wrong amount to be paid. When you register through the website it has the right amount both the email and invoice.

We want to be able to sometimes register people directly in the system, for example if they sign up on paper and we give them a discount. When you log in and add attendees, there is a box at the bottom where you can fill in “amount paid”. This amount shows up in the email as the amount to be paid and in the invoice the cost of the event as well as the amount paid. So, essentially, if we add the amount to be paid in the “amount paid”. The email will display the right amount to be paid, but the invoice will be wrong.

How can we fix this?
Is there a way to turn off sending automatic emails when you register within the system?
or, is there a way to send automatic emails that don’t link to any pdf invoice?

There is a way to adjust the amount paid on the attendee after they have been created.
