Hi,
I would like to buy EE3 or EE4. I think version 4 is better but I see sooooo many options that it is hard for me to choise. In fact I have 2 main questions:
– Profiles / user information
I would like to add some extra fields to the standard WordPress user database. E.G. date of birth, gender of the person and billing information.
Only registered users can register/attendee to a event! Is this possible standard? If yes, with which EE?
Maximum number of attendees?
See the previous extra fields. For example, my events are only allowed for 10 male and 10 females in the age of 20 to 30. That is for us very important. Is it difficult to make amd also to tell that a catagory is full?

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.
Profiles / user information
WP User Integration (EE3) will add extra fields, specifically address data. Custom fields cannot be added by Event Espresso, but other plugins can. Unfortunately due to the unknown nature of custom fields, only the name, email and address fieldfs can be pre-filled for users (with WP User Integration).
WP User Integration also allows you to block registration to events if the user is not logged in, and it can also set a different price for logged in versus logged out users.
EE4 doesn’t have an equivalent to WP User Integration as yet, but in theory at least you could create a similar set up using a membership plugin as EE4 events are Custom Post Types.
Maximum number of attendees?
Well, in EE3, you would likely need to have two events one for male and one for female. In EE4 you could do it in a single event as each ticket type can have a capacity set.
If age range is also a factor, then that might prove much more difficult, and would likely need some custom development.
