I have selected EE4 when I purchased this plugin because it has more features as tax and company settings and many more but very disappointed WP User Integration add-on in not being available. At the time of purchasing this was not an issue, but now we have BBPress installed, we would like Event Espresso users to register with wordpress so they can login to forums with single login.

Normally plugins get better by developers adding new functions to existing one. But here we have 2 different versions they are attractive in their own way but not complete with each other. And it is not possible for us to purchase both to make it work the way it should. To my understanding WP User Integration add-on may not be available until 2015 for EE4. So if anyone has found away around this please can you share. All we require is a registrant to be able to access the BBPress forums by login in usual way they would do for the wordpress.

Thanks in advance.

EE4 is not a new feature set added to EE3. It is a complete rewrite of the underlying structure. It will be better in the long run to make a clean break now, like Apple did moving from OS 9 to OS X, rather than drag on with backwards compatibility and in a few years end up with some kind of Vista-like horror. Keep in mind that EE is not a small plugin; It’s codebase is comparable in size with WordPress core.
I’m taking a look at something for you now. I’ll check back in with you in a few hours and will hopefully have a solution for you.

Thank you Sidney,
I look forward to hearing from you for a possible solution.

I’ve emailed you a zip file of a preliminary testing alpha version of a first run at a EE4 WP Users integration. If the user is logged in, it will auto-fill the first name, last name, and email from the user’s WP profile. (keep in mind that first and last name are not required by WP, so if they aren’t filled in in the user’s WP profile page, they will not autofill)
The second part of the integration you are probably thinking of, creating a WP User from an EE Registration, is something that we had a custom script available to do (https://gist.github.com/sidharrell/6675041).
I’ll try to get that working in EE4 and added to the wpusers addon.

Thank you very much Sidney.
Yes that is exactly what I would like Event Espresso to do. When someone registers with the plugin, they need to be registered with WP too. Or give them an option. So when they login to wordpress they can access the forum (BBPress) too. I look forward to hearing from you and testing it on my test server. I will install the addon you sent me and test it. Thanks again

Hi Sidney
I have installed the add on and registered a user in word press. I have added the first and last names. I have visited the purchase page using the Event Espresso and they did not appear (did not auto fill). Am I doing something wrong?

I added the add-as-wp-user feature. However, right now there is no admin options to turn on / off the 2 features, autofill and create wpuser. If the registrant (matching by first name, last name, and email) is not a wpuser, then create them as one. Emailing you a copy now.

Hi Sidney,
I installed the add on and upgraded the plugin and all seems to work fine.

Thank you to you and Event Espresso team. I have to admit this was the BEST support service I had comparing to other WP plugin developers. Fast and accurate. Great plugin for those who would like to sell online events. Good job

Aladdin
