The Waitlist feature is the primary reason that we are interested in using Event Espresso; however, Waitlist is not part of the newest version EE4.
There are a few other posts noting that the Waitlist feature is in planning for Espresso 4 but we do not want to purchase an older plugin because our guess is that EE4 will eventually replace EE3 altogether. Am I right?
Can you update us on the status of the Waitlist feature being added to EE4?

Hi,
EE4 will eventually replace EE3, that is correct. We aren’t planning on dropping support for EE3 anytime soon though, and right now purchasing EE3 will get you access to EE4 as well (not all EE4 addons are included with that).
As to a timescale, it’s hard to say as development of this feature has been pushed back due to other aspects that need working on, so whatever I say will likely change. This is certainly a feature that has been requested and has been earmarked, it’s just not possible to say when it will be included at this moment in time.
