I have a question about limiting registrations. I will be hosting events that include lodging, and it is possible for a registrant to pick from one of two lodging types…Single Occupancy or Double Occupancy. Consider the following scenario… Consider a more complex scenario… Thoughts on approaching this would be most welcome! Thanks |

Hi, With EE4 you could set the limits per tickets and per datetime.
So in this example, you would have 2 tickets (Single and Double) and you would set each ticket to have a capacity of 12. Both tickets would apply to a single datetime (this will happen by default but double check it), and you can then give the datetime a capacity of 12. This means if 12 single tickets are bought the event closes, same with 12 double tickets. Also the same with 6 single and 6 double (because though the ticket capacity hasn’t been maxed, the datetime capacity has!). Does that make sense? The flaw to all of this is that the double occupancy ticket will only register 1 person, so you may have to take the second persons details as just question answers rather than an actual registrant. |
