Is it just that the payment is showing as incomplete or are the attendees not updating in any other way?
What payment gateway are you using?
Do you have any template files in your wp-content/uploads/espresso directory? If so rename this directory and see if it resolves the issue (you can do this from the Template Settings options, at the bottom or via FTP)
