Please advise on where the development team is at fixing this.
Hi,
we have seating chart running and really need to be able to process tickets and payments both online and offline. Offline being very important to us due to our demographic.
We have noticed the seating chart doesnt work with the Add Attendee function. The seat isnt applied to the booking. It says general admission, and the seat reservation disappears. We also notice the seat number doesnt print on the ticket.
We have been told the workaround is to take the booking through the front end. To do this we had to enable another payment method, called check. Now our staff have a 2 step process, of switching to the front end, take the booking, then switching to the backend and receive the payment. This is less then ideal, the first booking made after training the staff, they took the first one through the frontend and the 2nd booking through the add attendee function. Customer lost their seat allocation.
Can you please confirm the following.
When do you plan to fix this?
Do you have plans for a more seamless offline over the counter booking function which works with seating chart??
This has already been fixed in the current version of Event Espresso, so adding an attendee via the admin will retain the seat number and mark it as occupied.
However the seat number on the ticket is still an issue, so thank you for bringing that to our attention, I will get a developer ticket to look into it.
“Do you have plans for a more seamless offline over the counter booking function which works with seating chart??”
We have no current plans to expand Event Espresso into an offline ticket registration system.
