when trying to upload the .zip wordpress freezes on me for this add-on. I can’t find any documentation on how to install an add-on in EE4 in FTP. Could someone point me in the right direction?
I assume you’re just using the standard WordPress uploader?
The file size for the ticketing addon zip is quite low (71kb) so it’s odd that the upload would freeze. Perhaps try downloading the addon again from your account, just in case the zip file was corrupt.
To install via FTP:
Download the zip file
Extract the zip file to a location on your computer.
Upload the folder that will have been extracted (by default eea-ticketing) to wp-content/plugins/ on your website.
Perfect thank you! I was using the standard uploader and had no problem installing calendar view, social sharing and mail chimp add-ons. Perhaps it was a corrupt zip file. The FTP worked perfectly. I had read the FTP upload for EE3 and the file path and names didn’t correspond to EE4 so I needed this extra info.
