I’m working with 3.1.36.2.P. And I think there are much better ways to organise your metaboxes from the WordPress end.
Have you seen your competitors product? (http://wp-events-plugin.com/) It has a much more intuitive interface (although not perfect).
Our organisation has a mixture of events that require registration and those that don’t.
Why do you space the registration information all around the screen? For events that don’t require registration, it would be better to have a tick box “Do you require registration?”, which reveals the rest of the information fields like attendee limits, registration open/close dates, pricing, group registrations, early registration discount etc. It would reduce the complexity of the current UI, and allow a clearer process for users.
The current “Display registration form?” dropdown is halfway down the right-hand metabox, after asking a lot of info that is dependent on the answer to that question.
The current way of selecting the time isn’t fool-proof either. An autofill would help to make it clearer.
