Dean answered me in april on this same topic: ‘In the event itself you can set the Default Registration Status to Approved. This will mark the attendee as approved regardless of whether payment has been made or not.’ But when i log in on the dashboard, and when i look on my events i only can choose ‘no change’ ‘incomplete’ and ‘pending’. I assume that this is a setting problem in the ‘default’ settings? Please help me to find the right place to change this…

Hi,

My apologies, I must have assumed you were using EE4.

In EE3, there is no approved setting, only pending and incomplete. The Complete status is only applied once a payment has been made. You can manually set this by editing the attendees payment details.

Ideally, the Pending status would be best, as this marks them as awaiting payment, but still deducts them from the event capacity.

oke.. i understand.. and ofcourse the question, is it possible to update tot ee4? Or do i get trouble with all the events that are current ‘online’…

oh, and the situation is that i want to make an event, set the price for those events and that let members or non members sign in for those events. And when signing in is complete, including the ‘approved paying’ (automatically from their paycheck ) they have to get an email that everything is OK.. Now it doesn’t work that way… they approved (from paycheck) but still get an email that the paying has to be done…

Hi,

EE4: Updating to EE4 is quite simple –

1) Back up your site, especially the database
2) De-activate EE3
3) Install EE4
4) Activate EE4
5) Follow the on screen migration guide
6) Once migration is done, make sure everything looks ok (e.g. events and attendees transferred over etc)
7) If everything is OK, delete the EE3 plugin.

I would advise either installing EE4 on a test server or checking out our test drive site (http://demoee.org) first, in order to make sure EE4 is suitable for your needs.

Also bear in mind that not all EE3 addons have been ported to EE4 yet, and that your payment gateway is supported in EE4.

Regarding the email, in both EE3 and EE4 you can modify the emails that they receive. You cannot currently set an email per gateway so it would need to just include a message that if they selected the PayCheck option that payment will be deducted etc.
