I updated the plugin and now I get the spinning gear of death on the calendar page. I tried Firefox and Chrome on both the Macbook and the PC desktop, and on my Android phone.

Hi Webrock, could you please share the event page URL to me.

May I also know if other than updating the EE plugin did you also make some other changes like adding a new plug in or changing your WordPress theme?

I will be checking the JavaScript errors in the developer console and see if we can get a hint on what happened and then if you could also activate the WP_DEBUG mode by following the instructions in this link: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#wpdebug
(it is under “Activate WP_DEBUG mode”).

This should log any errors being thrown from the time you amend it and should create a file called debug.log within /wp-content/. It will help us where to look to identify the issue.

Thank you!
Hazel

I only updated the EE plugin. We did not update our theme. I did at the Ontrapages plugin, but it is not activated yet. It should not interfere since it does not interact with EE.

Hi,

Upon checking the Developer Console, I can see that your calendar page can not load a source link. Thus, the gear icon spinning continuously.

This file can be anything like an image, other media, JavaScript, or a CSS stylesheet. A missing resource can cause your website to misbehave or not function properly. In your case it is coming from track.php/… (please refer to this video).

Here’s what you can do. I am guessing it is a tracking plugin. To test it, you will need to deactivate the tracking plugin and go back to your event calendar and refresh the page. If it’s loading correctly, you will need to deactivate or uninstall the tracking plugin or make sure it’s installed correctly.

Please let us know if this works.

Thanks
Hazel
