Hello
We have a webpage that we are making. We wish to display a certain events short description.
Do you know the short code to obtain an event short description? I’ve consulted this page but it shows only shortcodes for a venues short description and staff short description. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/
Is it possible to specify the event by name and not id? For eg;
[event name=’my event name’ short-desc]
instead of…
[event id=’1234′ short-desc]

Hi Tony,
There isn’t a shortcode to display just the event description. the closest you will get would be the SIGNLEEVENT, but that will display times, prices and the registration form, etc. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#single-events

No. Event ID’s are unique but multiple events can have the same name, so it would potentially cause issues if we set it up via name.
