Hi there. Learn Photography Canada provides hands-on photography classes in a few cities and is slowly transitioning to EE. So far we have successfully added single purchase classes for registration. I have a few questions about setup that may help to save us a lot of time (and grief).

1) We recently purchased the multiple event add on. This is because we have classes, such as Digital I beginner and Digital II advanced on separate dates. Is there anyway that once somebody registers for Digital I, Digital II (or a list of other classes) can be prompted to be added instead of using the shopping cart method where they have to search for the course? This is akin to booking on an airline, then having the option to upgrade while you book.

1a) As per the above point, we would love to offer a scaled discount for prepaying for courses such as 10% on 2 courses, 25% on 3 and so on and so forth. Would we do this through a discount deal?

2) We offer rental cameras for an additional charge. is there a way that they can add this as an option to their registration for an additional $50?

3) Is there a method of attaching a document to the automatic email (such as a map)? If this is a graphic could we source a file location on the server instead?

4) I understand that EE 3.2 is very close to coming out. Would that software address many of the above issues?

Thanks again. Love your system.

Hi James

1) There isnt a way to do that short of customising the plugin (I’m thinking javascript here). However you could use the Add Events to Cart shortcode https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#add-to-cart which can be used to add multiple events to cart in one go.

1a) The volume discount add on, can partially do this, but it only gives one discount not a tier of discounts.

2) We have a Pre Release plugin called Price Modifier, but it doesn’t function with Multiple Event Registration at this time (it is still in Beta).

3) Yes, simply add a link to the email. You can set up emails in the Email Manager so that you could have one for each location and allocate that to the appropriate event in the event editor (add new event/edit event).

4) Version 4 (no longer 3.2) may answer 1a and 2, however the final features going into the plugin have not been fully finalised so I cannot give any guarantees on this.
