Hi EE Team,
We purchased and integrated Event Espresso 3 into our ticketing system – http://www.slsetickets.com.au.
1. Seating Chart load time is more than 20 seconds and our customers are complaining a lot. We have a mix of smartphone and desktop users. Hence, we are looking for any tips/ideas from your team that can help us improving speed.
2. Also, is there a way to add a ‘loading’ gif until the chart loads?
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
I came across speed issues throughout the site, even pages not related to Event Espresso took over 10-20 seconds to load, so there may be something more fundamentally wrong here. Especially as this seems intermittent (e.g. refreshing a page will make it load in just a few seconds, rather than timing out).
When selecting the seating chart I eventually got an error message : “Failed to access http://www.slsetickets.com.au/wp-content/plugins/espresso-seating/request.php” http://take.ms/mS5ED
This may be due to a server time out, or incorrect permissions set for the files/folders at a server level.
There are also numerous 404 messages including one for the admin-ajax.php file which is necessary for the seating chart (or any front end ajax powered code) to show. Weirdly after a second attempt it did actually kick in.
Large seating charts can take some time to load but generally not this long, so it is indicative of potential server issues.
Regarding the spinner icon, there isn’t one by default, but I can make a request though most EE3 feature requests are on hold.
