I’m using v1.5.3 of permissions with EE 3.1.29.1.P. I’ve used the R&P module for some time and recently tried to downgrade some of my accounts. Because of previous problems with R&P, I had to elevate a number of editors to admin level. Now that things seem to be stable with R&P, I wanted to move them back down so I assigned them to “Event Manager”. I’ve verified that this role has all three of the EE roles as well as page editing capabilities. I’ve also verified that EE User Permissions has everything set to Event Manager.
The user account is able to create events but not able to edit them, receiving “you do not have permission to edit this event”. I’ve tested that this doesn’t work by using the Switch User module, creating an event, publishing it, then trying to edit the event.
I’ve seen discussion in R&P Pro threads about a Master Event Manager but I do not see that role available.
There are two versions of Roles and Permissions – Basic and Pro.
Basic allows the creation of Event Admins: users with full admin rights within Event Espresso.
Pro allows additional fine control in allowing creation of Event Managers and Regional Managers and the ability to fine tune what each role can see/do.
As far as I can tell you only have the Basic version available to you.
