Event Espresso – Permissions – Version 1.5.5.p
Event Espresso – Roles and Permissions Pro – Version 2.0.8.p
We recently purchased Roles and Permissions Pro, but we have come across a few problems.
I added a regional manager and assigned a region to him.
The event the regional manager posts is showing up in the main calendar.
The shortcode for the main calendar is just
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]
So there is nothing in there to specify which region to display.
Is there a shortcode I can use that only shows assigned regions or do I need to use categories?
The problem with using categories is the regional manager for one region has a list of categories in the add event page which allows him to assign events in different categories. Is there a way to disallow that and only allow the regional manager to post events in his region (or in a particular category)?
I want to be able to have different calendars for different regions and only allow the assigned regional managers to add and edit events in their own region.
I was unable to find a shortcode that displayed a calendar based on region. The only way I saw to separate the regions into different calendars was to use caegories. Is this correct?
Also,
If he adds an event, the event does not show up in his list, so he can’t edit the event. How do I fix this?
The latest version of the calendar has an option in the settings to allow users to filter the event content by venue, which is as close as it can get to filtering by locale.
The other option as you point out would be to use categories.
Unfortunately at this time there isn’t a way to filter categories by user.
If the regional manager adds an event, is he adding a venue which is in his locale? If not then it wont show up in his list.
