Event Espresso – 3.1.36.6.P Version 4.0.1 Plugin Version 1.5.5.p
I’ve created a test user in Wp with Espresso Master Admin with only that capability & read capability.
Yet, with this user I can access and edit events created by other users through the Event Overview window.
Have I missed something?
We want to be able to set it up so that event organisers can create events on our site through their own login. We’re happy to do some of it since it allows us to track and control, but we want them to do the donkey work. However they must only be able to access and edit their own events.
Quite happy for them to access others questions and question groups, I don’t see why this section is locked across users, when other sections are accessible across users?
I know I may have covered some of this but we now have a new professional hosting setup and hence cPanel access so we have more flexibility in what we can do.
The Roles and Permissions (R&P) Basic plugin adds a role (Event Master Admin) that has FULL access to everything EE, but nothing else in WordPress.
You can also limit which parts of Event Espresso they can access via the User Permissions menu, but if you give them access to events then they have access to ALL events.
The R&P Pro addon provides additional roles (notably Event Manager) which has further reduced access – they can only access events that they themselves have created.
If you need to give them access to events you as an Admin have created you may wish to consider using the Regional Manager role (R&P Pro).
So in short, for your needs, you need R&P Pro (basic still needs to be installed and active).
No problem. Let me know if you have any questions about R&P.
