Hi, we are planning a lot of bustrips for our support club. We are however in a problem. I would like to plan a head of a trip, however, I sadly do not know the end price, i only know the maximum price. Overview of problem: We do not know the club our team are playing against. Therefore i would like a system for our members to reserve a seat in our bus. It this possible with Eventespresso.? If not, do you know a system that can handle this, or do you plan to add it as a feature? |

Hi, I’m not sure this is feasible with EE. I thought that our Pre-Approval system might be OK for you, but it seems it dislikes the fact that the ticket price changes. You could use it in EE3 but it would require you to manually update the ticket price associated with each team member that signs up, so the workload would rise. EE4 doesn’t allow that sort of modification, though you could apply a payment to the ticket manually (e.g. if the initial ticket was $100, but now it’s only $60, you could apply a payment of $40 and when the attendee get’s their email they will be requested to pay $60). Again, that’s fairly labour intensive if you have a lot of attendees. As such I would say that while it’s possible to do this, I do not think Event Espresso is suitable for your needs as the methods to do it will involve a lot of admin work. As to alternatives, I’m sorry I’m not aware of anything that would match your specific needs. If you do want to test it, you can test drive EE4 over at http://demoee.org |

Hi. I have acutally solved the problem. I just used the original woocommerence. Made a free product, created a reservation statement (mail that state his reservation with order number). When i know the exact price and location, i changed the state of the order which will send an email with a corrected product, along with a PayPal button (which link to a payment of the correct price), and information if they would like to pay with mobile or bank transfer. Best, If you at some point create a solution for this, please contact me;-) since my solution require a bit of work. |

Hey, Thanks for sharing your solution. Having such fluidity with event pricing might not be something we look at but if we do, I will certainly update this thread. |
