Remove payment options when booking ticket for free event

Having recently bought EE4 for my charity, I am really pleased with it – so thank you and well done!
I have a small query / suggestion that I have discovered:
When booking tickets for a free event, customers have to click on Step 2, before it says it is a free event, and no payment is necessary. Then Stage 3 has to be clicked on.

Is it possible now (or perhaps looked at for a future release) for stage 2 to be bypassed completely, going straight to stage 3 for free events.
I’m concerned that some people after receiving the message that no payment is necessary, would not continue to click on stage 3, after mistakenly thinking the process was complete.

Also, missing stage 2 in these circumstances would be a streamlining of the process.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that it makes sense to remove that step for free events. I thought we had a plan to do that but I cannot trace it in our system. I’ll happily add a feature request for it though.
